“We are confident in Mr. Sohi’s ability to take Dawson to the next level, and we look forward to the School’s future under his leadership. He impressed each and every Dawson community member he met with his experience, depth of knowledge, professionalism, demeanor and passion for education and students,” said Board of Trustees Chairman, John O’Brien. “Additionally, he will bring a strong global perspective to the School’s curriculum and a very high level of technological expertise to our strategic initiatives in educational technological advancements.”

“I was drawn to The Alexander Dawson School by its mission and vision. The mission embraces a philosophy of holistic education “that challenges students to achieve excellence in mind, body and character,” said Mr. Sohi.  “This is aligned with my view that a school can have academic rigor while providing students with a well-rounded educational experience. During my visit, I was struck by how engaged the students were in their learning and by the range of resources and opportunities they had at their fingertips.”

Prior to his academic work in China, Sohi served as the Head of Curriculum and Professional Development K-12 at the Atlanta International School for two years, and as the Head of Primary School for five years.
