American Muslims of Nevada Celebrates Family Values Day
AMN – American Muslims of Nevada invites the community, irrespective of their background or religious faith, to their annual Muslim Family Values day on Monday, April 30th. Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo will be the featured guest speaker followed by the dinner.
Back in 2004, the then Governor Kenny Guinn (R) declared April 30th as the Muslim Family Values Day in Nevada. In a proclamation statement, the Governor said, “Americans of Muslim faith in Nevada continue to enhance the health and vitality of the educational, cultural, economic, and civic development of our community and willingly share their rich traditions and culture with us.”
“The event will recognize leaders of different faith-based communities for their contribution towards the betterment of Las Vegas community,” said Khalid Khan, President of the American Muslims of Nevada.
