City Stop Grand Opening Celebrations
During the grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony, Chief Guest Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak declared City Stop day in the City of Las Vegas.
Last week Las Vegas resident Rao Gondy, opened his first brand new convenience store – City Stop at the corner of Durango and Robindale Road, across from Rhodes Ranch. After putting over eight years of relentless work from site evaluation to zone change and slight opposition from the Rhodes Ranch residents the project came to fruition with brand new expansive store along with lustrous new gas pumps.
In its grand opening remarks to the invited guests, Commissioner Sisolak commended Rao and Anita Gondy for the spacious modern convenience store building and bringing jobs to the area. Over 150 jobs were created during the construction phase and over 9 permanent jobs are created to run the daily operations. The 24-hours store is the first convenience store in Vegas to cater Starbucks coffee to its customers.
Customers and invited guests were treated with complimentary breakfast, hot dogs, wide array of drinks, chips along with snow cones and candies. During the day novelty items including T-Shirts were given away by the vendors.
