County Commissioners Approve Five Year Contract with Dr. Meena P. Vohra, M.D.
County Commissiners acting as the UMC Board of Hospital Trustees approved a five year $7,015,411 Pediatric Services contract with Dr. Meena Vohra, M.D. dba Las Vegas Pediatric Critical Care Associates.
Dr. Vohra is engaged in the practice of medicine specializing in Pediatric Critical Care Services and has been providing pediatric critical care services to UMC since December 1998.
The contract calls for Dr. Vohra will professionally staff Department twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week so that a Physician is present when required for delivery of Services to Patients. Additionally, Provider will coordinate the schedules and assignments for the four (4) pediatric intensivists.
Provider Dr. Vohra, shall be fully responsible for the performance and supervision of any of its Member Physicians or others under its direction and control, in the performance of services under the signed agreement. The Physician shall provide Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Services to all pediatric critical care patients of Hospital; Provide clinical direction of Hospital’s Pediatric Critical Care Department; Ensure clinical effectiveness by providing direction and supervision in accordance with recognized professional medical specialty standards and the requirements of local, state and national regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies; and Coordinate and integrate clinically related Department activities both inter and intra departmentally within Hospital and its affiliated clinics.
Dr. Meena Vohra, MD, MBBS, BS is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care. Dr. Vohra is a 1980 graduate of GSVM Medical College, Kanpur, India and completed her pediatrics residency and fellowship at the Children’s Hospital, Detroit. Dr. Meena Vohra is married to a local Cardiologist Dr. Sanjay Vohra who also completed his medical education from GSVM Medical College, Kanpur, India.
