After finding Dr. Dipak Desai guilty on 27 counts, from insurance fraud to second degree murder, the sentencing orginally scheduled for September 5^th by Judge Valerie Adair, has been moved to October 24^th. 

Due to the staffing issues, Judge Valerie Adair did not receive the presentencing report on time from the Nevada Department of Parole and Probation.  After the jury verdict in July of this year Dr. Desai (Inmate ID – 01240942; Housing Unit 5D12S) has been in a custody at the Clark County Detention Center.

The federal trial, of Dr. Dipak Desai, on conspiracy and health care fraud charges stemming from the hepatitis C outbreak is scheduled in February 2014.
