   This is ridiculous!!! Charging $40 at the Diwali show and $20 for kids is too much ! Thats why you should be scared you will see less people coming to the show! Ok if you are going to increase your rates the performers need to be free! Without them the show would not happen. They have spent money, time to have this show so you guys need to consider this.

   Questions never answered by FOILV…

   This time FOILV functions are benefiting their own exec. committee members. All of sudden, President started to change all the guidelines and norms in one shot and its falling apart.These changes were never approved by other committee members and due to difference of opinion, they are leaving one by one. Want a proof…check their website… Sweeni has resigned, Secretory Puneet has resigned, I don’t see Sanjay and Nitin Modi’s name either.

   Section A, point 2 says “Any “Friend of the Association” shall be a Member of this association if he/she explicitly expresses his interest in writing, by filling out the membership application to be a Member.”
   Now nobody can apply for committee membership since you are not a member anymore.
   “Any Member shall be an Executive Member if he/she expresses his/her interest in writing to be an Executive Member, and provided he/she is elected by the General Body.”
   “Section C
   Annual Membership Dues are as follows:
   1. Individual membership dues shall be $15.
   2. Family membership dues shall be $25 upto a maximum of 6 family members. If there are more than 6 members, additional dues of $25 will be required for every 6 additional members.
   3. Membership cycle will run from Diwali to next Diwali (typically either October or November). Dues are due at least one week prior to Diwali, and will be delinquent after Dec 31.
   4. Members who had been admitted once and who missed membership fee payments during any fiscal year, shall pay all the fees in arrears before full membership rights and privileges can be reinstated.”

   How to vote now….

   Section H
   Individual members shall have one (1) vote. Family members shall have two (2) votes, cast by wife and husband separately and individually.

   Section B
   1. All Members of the Association shall constitute the General Body.
   2. Executive Members shall be elected from the General Body, i.e. every Executive Member shall be a member of the General Body.

   NO MEMBER’S MEETING OR NOTICE FOR MEETING SENT BY PRESIDENT.

   Section D
   10% of paid members shall constitute the quorum to hold General Body meeting.and discuss the agenda.

   Section F
   1. An immediate ex-President is an ex-officio member of the Executive Committee. He/she will strictly be an advisor and he/she shall not have any voting rights in the Executive Committee.
   2. Additional “Joint” positions

   Please read the FOILV bylaws for more violations. I request all the committee members and President elect to come forward and take over from current president for the sake of our community.

   TOTALLLLLY Agree with you.
   My President is living in his own world and dreams. He did not learn lesson from 15th Aug event.

   Now this Band, Baja and his own Barat. Seems like he is dullah, committee members will play band for him and we are going to do lungi and nagin dance as barati on his tune.

   Be ready for his lengthy speech ‘Thanks to this , that my wife, she is the real inspiration behind this (mess-up?) event , my kids.. and rest all of us are fools.

   Good luck to them. I am not going there.

   Yatin Daulat must answer Mermbership question. Per Comment #2 which describes the By-Laws of FOILV, he can not change By-Laws. I wonder what is his personal agenda is because I don’t think he asked Committee for opinion or committee voted for “No Membership”. PER BY-LAWS, it is NOT ALLOWED – PERIOD !! He must re-instate Membership immediately. May be this is the reason why Puneet Garg – a Lawyer quit.

   मैं फ्रेंड्स ऑफ़ इंडिया हु. मैंने गत बीस पचीस सालो मैं आपनी ऐससी दुर्गति नहीं देख्ही | बहुत से प्रेसिडेंट आये और गये, कुछ ने मुझे सर आँख पर उठाया तो इन जैसे ने मेरी वोह दुर्गति की के मुझे अपने अस्तित्व पर और अपने वजुत पर शर्म आती है । किस्सी ने मेरे लिय कल आज और कल बनाया तो एन जैसो ने मेरी बैंड बजा कर बारात निकाल दी । किस्सी ने मेरे लीये पञ्च पकवान बना कर अतिथियों का स्वागत किया और उन्हें आदर पूर्वक मिस्ठान देकर विदा किया तो किसी ने उन्हें पूरी को पानी मैं डुबोकर डुबोकर कर और पत्थर को इडली बता कर खिलाया । बगैर शकर की चाय पलाई । दस लोगो के बीच मैं एक पान रखा । जिस के मुह मैं गया उस का चेरा ख़ुशी से लाल हो गया और होंट रसीले हो गए और बकिओ के कटीले हो गए । यतिन पर मुझे यकीन था के वोह कुछ हट कर करेगा लकिन उसने तो पूरा ही हटा दिया । अंतत मैं आप सभी सश्रोता गणो से तहे दिल से माफ़ी चाहता हू और इस उम्मीद के साथ कि आप आपनी अंतर आत्मा को जगा केर मुझे इस यक्ति से मुक्ति प्रदान करेंगे और मेरे लिया कोई नया प्रेसिडेंट चुनेंगे । आपका भवदीय फ्रेंड्स ऑफ़ इंडिया
