Dr. Meena Vohra Unswerving Commitment to Pediatric Critical Care
Yes, Dr. Meena Vohra, the medical director of University Medical Center’s Children’s Hospital of Nevada as well as its chief of pediatrics, has gotten the challenges and rewards she hoped for out of her career.
Paul Harasim of the Review-Journal, who wrote previously on Hindu Mandir, exalts Dr. Meena Vohra for her commitment to excellence in providing pediatric critical care at UMC.
“I’m happy with what I did, with what I’m still doing,” she said recently before visiting with some ill children. “I’ve contributed to saving a lot of lives. That’s a great feeling. I love it.”

She still remembers how doctors at another facility essentially gave up on Giulian Grasso — he was transferred to UMC for surgery — after he suffered a severe head injury in 2012 while skateboarding in Boulder City. In 2014, County Commissiners acting as the UMC Board of Hospital Trustees approved a five year $7,015,411 Pediatric Services contract with Dr. Meena Vohra, M.D. dba Las Vegas Pediatric Critical Care Associates.
