G. Gill Plead Guilty to Possession of Firearm by Prohibited Person and Controlled Substance

Former convicted felon, G. Gill has plead guilty on two counts, first to the ownership or possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and secondly, a mid-level possession of controlled substance, both category B felony under the State of Nevada Statute.

As per the plea agreement, the State has no opposition to running the time concurrent between the two felony counts.  Gill has agreed to the forfeiture of all the property seized during the search.  Gill has further agreed that if he fail to appear at any future court hearings or any probable cause for the new criminal charges including DUI, the State will have the unqualified right to argue for any legal sentence and may have to increase the sentencing as a habitual criminal to 5 to 20 years or even life without the possibility of parole.

The plea agreement calls for a minimum term of imprisonment for not less than 1 year and a maximum term of not more than 6 years.  Gill may be fined up to $5,000 for the possession of gun by a prohibited person.  On the second count of possession of mid-level possession of controlled substance, the court must sentence Gill to imprisonment for a minimum term of not less than 1 year and a maximum term of not more than 10 years.  Gill will be eligible for probation for the offenses he plead guilty to and will be sentenced next month.

Currently, Gill is housed at the Clark County Detention Center, Las Vegas.
