Hindu and Jain Temple of Las Vegas Chairman Jagdish Mehta Announce the Incoming Members of the Temple’s Executive Committee
A few weeks back, this publication wrote about the flagrant disregard for the Temple by-laws in selecting the new administration leadership. Chairman Jagdish Mehta and a few members of the Board of Trustees listened to the community by announcing the re-selection of the incoming members of the Executive Committee and Board of Trustees leadership. Below is the official announcement from the outgoing Chairman, Jagdish Mehta.
Dear Respected Members of the Community,
It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to the new members of the Temple Administration for the term 2024-2025.

I ask that you support the new team as they take on the enormous responsibility of managing the day-to-day activities of the Temple.
As a Chairman, I have enjoyed being actively involved in the Temple’s work for the last 30 months. I did my best to make the Temple as best as possible place for our love and devotions. I was not perfect, but I did my job as best as possible without involving my ego and only keeping the well-being of devotees and the community in mind. If I made any mistakes, I ask for your forgiveness.

ENTIRE COMMITTEE IS excellent , looks DEDICATED FOR THE “SANATAN TEMPLE WITH SANATAN PRINCIPLE”. THANK YOU. GLAD – JUNG(WAR/JUNGA) IS OVER –HAHA !!!BECAUSE OF COVID- MOST PEOPLE DIVERTED TO HARE KRISHNA TEMPLE AND GURUDWARAS . THE ONLY REASON IS LUNCH /DINNER/PRASAD IS PROVIDED WITH DISCOURSES. THERE ARE ENOUGH VOLUNTEERS TO DONATE 52 WEEKS SUNDAY PRASAD/LUNCH. Time to think about annual membership $100 /year to supplement income and increase volunteer-ship. HOPE SERVICE TO THE TEMPLE/DHARMA IS USED FOR DISSOLVING EGO. PL TAKE ADVISE FROM PRIEST AS FAR AS PRINCIPAL OS SANATAN IS CONCERNED.
Let us hope the new management is dedicated to the temple, devotees, and community, not a slave to ego and personal prestige. The priority should be a drive to make every family become a member for $100/year. Then give them reasons to come to the temple; make them feel welcome, treat everyone equally, do not charge excessive fees for rituals, and have at least an election every two years in which all the members are eligible to run and vote for the executive and advisory committees. Please make the Hindu and Jain Temple an institution of which our community is proud.
Very strange
– Former Co-chairman and Temple trustee Mr Latpate is still sending messages as Current CHAIRMAN . I came to know that he had resigned also.Is it true ?
Former Temple President is not giving any Passwords to Current Committee So that they can not communicate with the community .
Is temple somebody’s personal property?
