Indian American Truck Driver Arrested For Transporting Cocaine
HIDTA Task Force arrested long haul truck driver Rahul Grewal, 52, for transporting nearly 285 pounds of cocaine.
Rahul Grewal was arrested on Interstate 15 near Craig Road when HIDTA task force officers found nearly 285 pounds of cocaine inside a tractor-trailer he was driving. Officers stopped Rahul for a traffic violation and during the routine inspection found cocaine hidden inside the truck. The street value of the impounded cocaine is estimated at over $10 million.
Rahul is booked at the Clark County Detention Center and face charges on trafficking and transporting narcotics with intent to sell. Cocaine was hidden in the vegetable boxes.
HIDTA is the High Density Task Force with agents drawn from the DEA and state, county, and local law enforcement agencies. The HIDTA Task Force focuses on dismantling or significantly disrupting major drug trafficking organizations within the State.
