Indian Classical Music Concert
Indian Fine Arts Association of Nevada (IFFAN) invites music aficionados to its first Indian classical concert in 2024 on Sunday, January 21st, with vocalist Manu Srivastava, accompanied by Harshad Kanetkar, an accomplished Tabla player and Vijay Ghaskadvi on Harmonium. The organizers are looking forward to the virtuoso performance of Manu and company, reflecting the richness and depth of Indian classical music.

Manu Srivastava is a rising star in North Indian vocal classical music. He started his initial musical training in Kanpur when he was four. Later, he received extensive training from the late Pandit Kashinath Bodas. Pandit Bodas belonged to the Gwalior Gharana, and his father, Pandit Shankar Bodas, was a disciple of the legendary vocalist Pandit D.V. Paluskar. Sri Srivastava later received training from Srimati Padma Talwalkar, a noted vocalist of Kirana Gharana, and he continues to receive training from Srimati Subhada Paradkar. Sri Srivastava has performed at numerous prestigious concerts in India, Canada, and the United States. He currently teaches at a school of Indian classical music in Phoenix, AZ, with over 200 students.
