Obituary – Ilaben Dilitkumar Shah
With profound sadness, Lopa Shah informs the Las Vegas community the passing of her mother, Ilaben Dilitkumar Shah on Tuesday, October 9th, 2018 in Boston.
Ilaben, mother and a grandmother, was a regular visitor to Las Vegas. Many of the Himanshu & Lopa’s friends had an opportunity to meet Ilaben during many trips she took to Las Vegas. Lately, Ilaben was traveling and spending her time at her homes in Baroda, Bengaluru, Boston and Las Vegas. Ilaben touched numerous lives and hearts of those who came in contact with her through her infectious smile and deep & curious conversations on a wide range of issues impacting our community.
Ilaben is survived by four children, their spouses, and six grandchildren. Ilaben lived a wholesome, healthy and active lifestyle. The family is saddened and shocked by her sudden departure on the very same day her husband who passed away 34 years ago.
In remembrance, Ilaben’s daughter Lopa and son-in-law Himanshu Shah would like to invite the community for a prayer meeting on Saturday, October 20that the Hindu Mandir located at 1701 Sageberry Drive, Las Vegas. Prayers/Pooja will be held from 9 am to 11 am, followed by prasad/lunch around noon.
