Settlement Reached between Dr. Roger Mehta and the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners
In October, 2019 the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners’ Investigative Committee filed a formal First Amended Complaint (Complaint) charging Dr. Mehta with violating the Medical Practice Act. The original complaint was filed with two charges in January 2019. The amended complaint alleged three violations of Nevada Revised Statutes, specifically violations regarding malpractice, medical records, and standard of practice.
Dr. Mehta has agreed to one allegation of failure to maintain complete medical records and one allegation of violating NRS related to the standard of practice. The Investigative Committee has dismissed the charges related to malpractice with prejudice.
The settlement agreement calls for Dr. Mehta to pay the costs and expenses incurred in the investigation and prosecution of the above-referenced matter within sixty days of the Board’s acceptance, adoption and approval of this agreement, the current amount being $5,059.46, not including any costs that may be necessary to finalize this Agreement. Dr. Mehta will take three hours of continuing medical education related to electronic medical records within six months from the date of the Board’s acceptance, adoption, and approval of the agreement.
In addition, Dr. Mehta will receive a Public Letter of Reprimand and pay a fine of $1000.00 within sixty days of the Board’s acceptance, adoption and approval of this Agreement.
The accepted agreement will be reported to the appropriate entities and parties as required by law, including, but not limited to, the National Practitioner Data Bank.
Dr. Mehta is a graduate of University of St. Eustatius, St. Eustatius, Netherland Antilles, and completed his internship and residency at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, Kenner, Louisiana.

Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners is just an union that represents physicians not citizens of the state. Roger Mehta didn’t receive even slap on the wrist he got touched by a little pinky.

You are totally ignorant and just love to comment on physicians. Just to make you understand, Nevada medical board represents citizens and take actions against physicians.
More over, if you don’t know anything about the case on Dr. Maheta then why on earth you are trying to comment or judge if decision by medical board was right or wrong !!
