In an annual list of 40 under 40, Vegas Inc. named Shaan Patel, 25 as one of the high achiever in Las Vegas.  Shaan is a President of 2400 Expert SAT Prep. 

Vegas Inc. profiled Shaan as a visionary in SAT preparation industry.  With no funding or entrepreneurial experience, Shaan created what has grown into the largest provider of SAT prep in Nevada.  Shaan himself a perfect-score SAT student, developed an effective curriculum, establishing partnerships, writing a SAT help book and hiring skilled staff. 

Shaan negotiated a partnership between two of the world’s largest test prep providers, McGraw-Hill & Veritas prep, to publish his SAT content online which resulted in a sale of more than 50,000 copies of his SAT book resulting in over $3 million in revenue.

The local Vegas Inc. magazine 40 Under 40 recognizes successful Las Vegas professionals in diverse industry.  Recognition is based on individual and professional achievements, community service, entrepreneurial spirit, and impact on their respective industry.

Shaan, son of Bharat and Geeta Patel, graduated from Clark High School in 2007 with highest honors and was named Presidential Scholar. 

As 2007 Presidential Scholar Shaan wrote –“ I’m one of the few Las Vegas natives roaming this earth. Although I do not live in a casino as many speculate, I do carry around an oversized buffet plate with me, not of food, but of activities! Outside of that though I am just like every other vegetarian Indian kid who’s grown up in a motel and loves to discuss Vedic philosophy. The accomplishment I am most proud of does not come with a laminated gold certificate: the growth of my character and mind over the past four years. After living in my dad’s rundown motel and attending urban public schools, I have engendered a unique appreciation for diversity that I am most fulfilled by. Oh, and I couldn’t go east for college because I have a strong affinity towards the LA Lakers and animal fries from Inn-N-Out!“

Accepted to numerous prestigious universities with over quarter-million dollars in scholarship, Shaan joined USC with intention of becoming a Physician.  With ongoing shift in economics of medical care Shaan has decided to peruse business world as well.   Shaan, a MD candidate at the University of Southern California is also pursuing an MBA from Yale School of Management, Yale University.
