Shalini Shah performs Bharatanatyam Arangetram
Congratulations to Shalini Shah on the completion of her Bharatanatym Arangetram. Shalini is a daughter of Drs. Tapan & Aanshu Shah.
Arangetram is the debut on-stage performance of a Bharatanatyam student, after undertaking years of training. Shalini, 14, completed her classical Indian dance Arangetram at the Nicholas j. Horn theatre at the College of Southern Nevada campus on Sunday July 29. She is a student of the Aarti School of Dance under the talented Bharatnatyam teacher, Kalashri Asha Gopal.
Shailini has been studying classical Indian dance for almost 8 years. Beginning fall 2012, Shalini will be joining Meadows School as a freshman student.
She gave a spectacular performance on Sunday and completed 7 rigorous traditional Bharatnatym dances along with a Gujarati folk dance. The special event was MC’d by Mrs. Sri Shah.
Congratulations to Shalini and her family on this astonishing accomplishment. Las Vegas Review Journal wrote an article on Ms. Asha Gopal and her commitment to the Indian culture.
