Shan Reddy and Aakash Shah Named Semifinalist in an International Competition
Shan Reddy and Aakash Shah, along with three other Clark High School students are the semifinalists in an international Conrad Spirit of Innovation Challenge competition.
Shan and Aakash are the members of the Clark High team named Clark Battery Chargers – NERO Battery under the Energy & Environment category of the competition. The Conrad Foundation hosts a global competition for teams of high school students. Each team is made up of two to five students and they are invited to create commercially viable products in one of four categories: aerospace, energy, cyber, or health.
They aim to become the Clark County School District’s first winners of the competition, which has contestants from 19 states and 12 countries including New Zealand, Thailand, Israel and Canada, according to organizers. Kristin Kleven of the Conrad Foundation calls it “’Shark Tank’ for kids.”
