Swati Singh Appointed Deputy Chief of Staff

Newly elected Republican Lt. Governor Mark Hutchinson has appointed Swati Singh as his Deputy Chief of Staff. 

After graduating with a degree in Political Science from UNLV in 2006, Las Vegas born and brought up Swati started working on numerous local, regional and national political campaigns and conservative organizations.  Swati got the first taste of true conservative politics in 2008 when she interned with then Nevada Congressman Jon Porter in Washington DC.  At the Congressman Jon Porter’s office, Swati was responsible for assisting legislative staff with the constituent casework on federal policy issues. 

In September 2009, Swati took a position of Outreach Director with a political campaign for a Republican candidate in Las Vegas.  Swati became a Field Representative for Nevada Victory during the 2010 elections where she build a broad political coalitions for statewide and local candidates along with managing a challenging grassroots activities.  After 2010 elections and during Nevada’s 76th legislative session, Swati moved to Carson City to be a staff member of Assemblywoman Melissa Woodbury where she was responsible for managing assemblywoman’s legislative agenda.  During the 2011 legislative session, Swati coordinated and managed Assemblywoman Woodbury’s committee assignments, bill drafts and public policy issues.

After the completion of legislative session, Swati became an Operations Director for Red Rock Strategies, an elite national political consulting firm in Las Vegas.  In 2012, Swati was instrumental in mobilizing the local community for Romney for President.  During the 2012 presidential campaign Swati was hired as a Coalitions Director for the campaign where she spearheaded the volunteer recruitment to support numerous political coalitions in Nevada.  In 2013, the Republican National Committee hired Swati as an Asian American Strategic Initiatives State Director with responsibilities to involve and mobilize Nevada’s Asian community.

During 2014 election, Swati was hired as a Campaign Manager for Adam Laxalt for Attorney General where she oversaw the strategic operations of Laxalt’s statewide campaign.

Last week Swati was hired by the newly elected Lt. Governor Mark Hutchinson as his Deputy Chief of Staff.  Swati will be based in Las Vegas to manage day to day business affairs of the local office of the Lt. Governor.
