Diwali Celebrations by Friends of India

Save the Date…Diwali 2017.  Friends of India invites the community to celebrate Diwali with Dining, entertainment from the local community participants along with a professional entertainment (yet to be announced) on Saturday, November 11th at the Cashman Field Center.

Hare Krishna Mandir of Las Vegas announce Gaur Natraj Das as the new permanent priest for the upcoming mandir.  Priest Natraj Das (Nithin Bhatkalya) is a disciple of H.H.Bhakti Raghava Swami. He completed his Mechanical engineering from Mangalore University. Mohammad Shafique Arrested for Felon in Possession of a Firearm

Mohammad Shafique was convicted earlier for an unlawful possession for sale of drugs and controlled substance, attempted burglary and trafficking in controlled substances.  Mohammad is charged with four separate counts of felon in possession of a firearm. The government proffers that the defendant has been selling guns and methamphetamine for some period of time. Mohammad had his first conviction back in 2006 for possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell and has at least two prior convictions for drug trafficking and two prior convictions for burglary.
