UMC Governing Board Approves $8.516 Million Contract with Dr. Meena Vohra

The board of the County-owned University Medical Center approved an $8.5 million, five-year contract with Meena Vohra, M.D. d/b/a Las Vegas Pediatric Critical Care Associates. The five-year agreement covers a medical directorship and pediatric critical care at the University Medical Center. This base contract is $8,516,000 for the five-year term and includes pediatric sedation and an additional physician providing services. Milan Chatterjee Testifies in Support of Jewish Holocaust Museum in Nevada

Milan Chatterjee, an Associate Compliance Counsel for the Las Vegas Sands testified favoring Assembly Bill 257 to establish the Nevada State Holocaust Museum.  If approved, the Nevada State Holocaust Museum will be established within the Division of Museums and History of the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affair.  The Museum will provide for the documentation, study, and interpretation of history related to the Holocaust. REI apologizes & removes Lord Ganesh yoga mat towel after Hindu protest

“Outdoor & Sporting Goods Company” REI (Recreational Equipment, Inc.), headquartered near Seattle, has apologized and removed yoga mat towel carrying the reimagined image of Hindu deity Lord Ganesh, which upset Hindus objected, calling it “highly inappropriate”.
