EKAL Las Vegas Founder Girija Vijay Inaugurates EKAL Computer Bus

During her recent visit to India, Girija Vijay, the founder of EKAL Las Vegas chapter had an opportunity to inaugurate the EKAL mobile computer lab funded by the Las Vegas donors.  The much-awaited computer lab bus is fully equipped with sixteen working computers to collaborate with the EKAL supported schools and students in the far interiors of the State of Uttar Pradesh.   As per Ms. Vijay, the bus will be based in Mirzapur, U.P. Graduate students Himesh Patel along with Rushikesh Battulwar had the opportunity to present posters at the student poster session and represent the Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering and the Department of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering at AEMA 2019. U.S. Army Research Office Awards Grant to UNR Prof. Sid Pathak

Sid Pathak, assistant professor of chemical and materials engineering, was awarded a grant from the U.S. Army Research Office for his collaborative research with the Colorado School of Mines. Working with associate professor of mechanical engineering, Garritt Tucker, the project, titled “Mechanistic-Design of Multilayered Nanocomposites: Hierarchical Metal-MAX Materials for Tunable Strength and Toughness,” focuses on how multilayered materials have useful mechanical, chemical and functional properties. Settlement Reached between Dr. Roger Mehta and the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners

In October, 2019 the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners’ Investigative Committee filed a formal First Amended Complaint (Complaint) charging Dr. Mehta with violating the Medical Practice Act.
