Karter Singh, 39, Dies in Police Custody

The Clark County coroner’s office has identified a man who died shortly after he was taken into custody by Las Vegas police on Monday evening. He was 39-year-old Karter Singh, of Las Vegas, the coroner’s office said. His cause and manner of death were pending as of Wednesday morning. Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center, whose CEO is Indian-American Sajit Pullarkat, required workers to complete necessary paperwork without pay after their daily shifts ended also manipulated employee time cards to avoid paying overtime, a federal investigation has found.
