Vijay Amritraj, a well-known former tennis pro from India, is bringing his foundation’s charity golf tournament to Las Vegas to raise funds for health care and other related programs in rural India. The fundraiser and a golf tournament are scheduled on Sunday, December 10, with a dinner meeting at Chica Restaurant at the Venetian Resort, followed by a golf tournament on Monday, December 11, at the Anthem Country Club in Henderson. Hindu Mandir Board Addresses Community Concerns
In an ongoing tug-of-war between the group of community members and the Hindu administration, the Board has addressed the community concerns. In early September, engaged community members wrote an open letter to the Mandir Board concerning day-to-day administration. The Board called a town hall meeting to listen to the community, with nearly 100 public members in attendance. They were given 2 minutes individually to address their concerns, questions, and comments.
