South Asian Bar Association of Las Vegas (SABA-LV) Hosts a Successful Event
The South Asian Bar Association of Las Vegas hosted a Happy Hour event near the Strip on Friday, March 29, 2024. The event was well attended by law students, attorneys, and members of the community. Judge Cynthia Cruz, Chief Justice of the Las Vegas Justice Court, also attended.
There was no other agenda but for the attendees to mingle and enjoy. The food and drinks were all compliments of SABA-LV. At the event SABA-LV also promoted the tens of thousands of dollars it is giving out in scholarships to law students (supported by the State Bar of Nevada). Several UNLV’s Boyd School of Law students who attended the event have since already applied for a SABA-LV scholarship.
Eric Neeraj Kohli, president of SABA-LV, said “the event was a complete success for us, we are grateful to everyone who came out.” He announced that SABA-LV will host these events every quarter. He also asked this publication to help publicize the event to encourage more members of Las Vegas’s “desi” community to attend SABA-LV’s events.
SABA-LV’s officers include Paul Padda, Eric N. Kohli, Ayesha Mehdi, Arun Gupta, Tina Talim, Arun Luckoor, and Shantanu Surpure. All of them were present at the event.
