Origin India Restaurant Donates $1,000 for the Philippines Disaster. Fund Raiser Planned
At a meeting to mobilize relief efforts for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan, Origin India Restaurant donated $1,000 to the relief fund. Additionally, Origin India and South Asian Chamber of Commerce are planning a fund raiser.

Ethnographer Ranita Ray Joined UNLV as Assistant Professor of Sociology
Ranita Ray joined UNLV as an assistant professor of Sociology after completing her Ph.D. at the University of Connecticut. Her current research and teaching interests include various aspects of urban poverty, education, social reproduction of poverty, ethnography and youth.
Clergy met Reno Mayor to restart prayer at City Council meetings
Religious statesman Rajan Zed, who led this effort, presented Mayor Cashell a petition containing 48 signatures and two emails of support.
