During her recent visit to India, Girija Vijay, the founder of EKAL Las Vegas chapter had an opportunity to inaugurate the EKAL mobile computer lab funded by the Las Vegas donors.  The much-awaited computer lab bus is fully equipped with sixteen working computers to collaborate with the EKAL supported schools and students in the far interiors of the State of Uttar Pradesh.  

As per Ms. Vijay, the bus will be based in Mirzapur, U.P. The mobile lab will bring connectivity throughout the greater Mirzapur district in Eastern Uttar Pradesh.  EKAL’s Las Vegas bus is the 34^thbus in India funded by the EKAL organization. The successful 2019 Vegas fundraiser brought in funding for over 200 schools along with a donation for the much-needed school orange-yellow computer lab bus.

“The Las Vegas chapter has already committed a matching donation of $15,000 for the computer tablets to be used by the students enrolled in EKAL schools in rural India,” said Girija Vijay, founder of the EKAL-Las Vegas.  This year EKAL Las Vegas program is scheduled for Friday, April 3^rd, 2020.
