Saad Ahmed Sentenced to Prison for Trafficking More Than $1 Million in Counterfeit Electronics

A Las Vegas business owner, Saad Ahmed, was sentenced to prison for running a years-long conspiracy to import counterfeit electronics from China into the United States.  Saad Ahmed was sentenced to six months in custody by U.S. District Judge Thomas J. Settlement Reached between Dr. Roger Mehta and the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners

In October, 2019 the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners’ Investigative Committee filed a formal First Amended Complaint (Complaint) charging Dr. Mehta with violating the Medical Practice Act. The original complaint was filed with two charges in January 2019. The amended complaint alleged three violations of Nevada Revised Statutes, specifically violations regarding malpractice, medical records, and standard of practice.
