Shiva Gummi Pled Not Guilty at Arraignment Hearing. Jury Trial Set for December.

At the continued arraignment hearing, the court notified Shiva Charan Reddy Gummi of the criminal charges of Murder with the use of a deadly weapon. In April 2023, Las Vegan Shiva Gummi allegedly stabbed his Physician wife, Gwendoline Amsrala, to death. Dr. Amsrala, a UNLV School of Medicine graduate, recently started her medical residency. Shiva, represented by a public defender, pled not guilty to the charges by the State. For the first time since the Mandir’s grand opening celebrations in April 2001, a few Mandir Board of Trustees members invited the community members to hear their ongoing concerns about running the Mandir.
