Ajay Dayal Found Guilty — Real Estate License Permanently Revoked
In a unanimous decision at a Nevada Real Estate Division hearing, Ajay Dayal was found guilty on all charges brought against him. As a result, his real estate license has been fully and permanently revoked. The Commission also imposed a $55,000 fine and more than $3,000 in administrative costs.
The case was brought forward following a formal complaint by Nevada Assemblyman Reuben D’Silva, who alleged that Dayal had defrauded him and continued to practice real estate despite having a suspended license. Additionally, Dayal was found to be engaging in property management without the required permit.

“I was scammed, betrayed, and swindled by this person who I took to be a trusted friend and mentor,” wrote Assemblyman D’Silva in his complaint to the Real Estate Division of the NV Department of Business and Industry. Further, per D’Silva’s complaint, “based on public records, Dayal was recently brought before the NV Real Estate Commission on 17 different charges, many of them serious violations of people’s rights, including multiple cases of cash swindling.” Dayal is accused of swindling close to $33,000 from Assemblyman D’Silva.
Dayal’s case also further affected the citizens of Nevada, as Mr. D’Silva had to momentarily interrupt his duties in the Legislature in Carson City to testify via Zoom at the Commission hearing.
Dayal was accused of committing multiple violations under NV laws.
- Dayal offered to and/or engage in the business of property management without a valid real estate license and no property management permit.
- Failed to remit the security deposit to the complainant, Assemblyman D’Silva.
- Committing grossly negligent or incompetent acts when he impeded the Division’s investigation.
- Represented himself as a property manager without having an active real estate license.
- Dayal committed deceitful, fraudulent, and/or dishonest acts upon the Tenant by impersonating the property owner, D’Silva, and concealing his invalid real estate license status.
Mr. Dayal previously had his real estate license suspended at another real estate hearing in 2023 for committing over 17 law violations and was fined over $28,000.00 at that hearing. Dayal was given an opportunity to pay that fine in installments but never paid a single penny of it, according to the latest Nevada Real Estate Division Disciplinary report.
To date, Dayal has been the Defendant in multiple cases. Most recently, the court has issued a Bench Warrant as Dayal failed to appear in court for the charges of operating an expired, unregistered vehicle.
