Assemblymember Reuben D’Silva Introduces Legislation to Create the Nevada Asia-Pacific Trade Commission
Nevada State Assemblyman Reuben D’Silva (D) has introduced a bill to create the Nevada Asia-Pacific Trade Commission.

“I am proud to bring forward this bill which will seek to build stronger relationships for Nevadans who wish to do business with Asia and vice-versa,” said Assemblyman Reuben D’Silva. “The commission will serve as a conduit for investment, trade, corporate relationships, and cultural exchange between Nevada and the entire Asia-Pacific region. I look forward to shepherding this bill through the 84th legislative session.”
“Nevada’s Asia Pacific Trade Commission will bring in new untapped synergies in the international trade arena,” said Swadeep Nigam, President of the South Asian Political Network Alliance. “With over 60% of the world’s population and some of the fastest growing economies on the planet, the commission will create new trade opportunities for Nevada, especially in the tourism, and high-tech software industries.”
“Leading U.S. cities have demonstrated that structured trade engagement with Asia drives real results – from new capital inflows to expanded market access for local companies,” said Rutt Premsriut, Senior Advisor at the Valtus Capital Group. “Nevada has enormous untapped potential in this space. A dedicated trade commission will help us formalize partnerships, unlock investment opportunities, and ensure Nevada businesses are competing on a global stage.”
The creation of the Nevada Asia-Pacific Trade Commission is a forward-thinking step that reflects Nevada’s growing role in the global economy,” said Catherine Francisco, CEO of the Las Vegas AAPI Chamber of Commerce. Asian markets represent some of the fastest-growing economic partners in the world, and this commission will create a formal, strategic bridge between Nevada businesses and Asia-Pacific countries. By leveraging our state’s leadership and official infrastructure, this initiative will expand trade opportunities, support small and minority-owned businesses, and position Nevada as a competitive, globally connected state.”Nevada State Assemblyman Reuben D’Silva (D) has introduced a bill to create the Nevada Asia-Pacific Trade Commission.
