Hindu Mandir Priest Brijesh Raval to Lead Las Vegas City Council Meeting with Hindu Prayer
On August 6, 2025, at 9:00 AM, Pandit Brijesh Raval from the Las Vegas Hindu Mandir will deliver the opening invocation at the regular Las Vegas City Council meeting, a rare and meaningful moment of interfaith inclusion in local government. Earlier, on May 6, 2025, Pandit Ji made history by offering the opening invocation at the Clark County Commissioners meeting with prayers drawn from Hindu scriptures.

Pandit Ji will recite verses from ancient Hindu scriptures, including the Shanti Path, a traditional peace prayer that seeks harmony for individuals and the broader community. This invocation emphasizes universal values such as peace, unity, and compassion.
He will conduct the prayer in traditional Hindu priestly attire, adorned with a rudraksha mala (sacred prayer beads) and a sandalwood paste tilak on his forehead, honoring Hindu ritual customs.
The public meeting on August 6 starts promptly at 9 AM. The location is the Las Vegas City Council Chambers, 495 South Main St., Las Vegas.
