Assembly District 2 Candidate Radhika Kunnel Raised Over $10,000

2020 political campaign is in full swing. The two candidates from the South Asian community, Fayyaz Raja for the County Commission and Radhika Kunnel for Assembly, have been campaigning for a while to win the support of voters and raising funds for their respective campaign.
Radhika Kunnel is currently a student at the UNLV Boyd School of Law and a partner with her husband in a family-owned consulting firm, R&R Cnsltnts LLC.
In the first campaign contributions and expenses report for the period ending December 31st, 2019, Ms. Kunnel shows monetary donations totaling $10,000 and $5,000 in In-kind contributions. Most of the contributions are from small donors, mostly family, and friends.

As of this writing, there is no other Democratic candidate in the race, however, three Republicans are running for the open seat. Looking into the opponents, Ms. Kunnel’s Republican opponents for Assembly District 2 have raised a combined total of close to $152,000 including a combined loan totaling $70,000 to their campaign.
As reported earlier, as of September 30, 2019, the South Asian community has donated over $69,000 to a diverse field of the 2020 Congressional and Presidential candidates. However, the same group of political donors has failed utterly to assist any of the local aspiring candidates from the South Asian community.
