The Las Vegas Chapter of Ekal Vidyalaya announces its 8^th annual fundraising & musical evening with a performance by Kaushik Deshpande & Group from India, on Friday, May 11^th, 2018 at the Windmill Library, 7060 West Windmill Lane, Las Vegas.  Dinner starts at 6:00 pm, followed by an entertainment around 7:00 pm.  Priority seating for those who sponsor 3 or more schools.

The much-needed fundraiser allows our local Las Vegas community to be able to sponsor many children in India to participate in Ekal schools.   Ekal Vidyalaya is a non-profit organization on a mission to bring basic education to every child across rural India.  Some of the donors have already raised their support from sponsoring one school to multiple schools.

Over the last eight years, Las Vegas community has raised donations to help sponsor over 850 Ekal schools, including 193 schools in 2017, which translates to approximately 26,000 children attending an Ekal school for a year.  This is all possible due to overwhelming generosity from our community volunteers and donors.  In addition, Ekal Las Vegas has provided a platform for many of our community children to volunteer and learn the meaning of “caring in action” through Ekal Las Vegas Youth Group.Please contact any of the Ekal Las Vegas volunteers listed on the attached flyer to sponsor Ekal school(s) and for the May 11 Ekal musical program tickets.
