Four Indian-American High School Students Named National Merit Scholarship Winners

National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced this year’s National Merit $2500 Scholarship winners. This year four Indian-American students are named National Merit $2500 Scholarship winners. This award is supported by National Merit Scholarship Corporation’s own funds. The 2,500 Merit Scholar designees werechosen from a talent pool of more than 15,000 outstanding Finalists in the 2020 National MeritScholarship Program.

Ritvik Janamsetty. Probable career field: Computer Science. Currently Attending Coral Academy of Science in Henderson.
Eshaan J. Vakil. Probable career field: International Relations. Graduating from Ed W. Clark High School in Las Vegas.
Opalina Vetrichelvan. Probable career field: Computer Science. Graduating from Ed W. Clark High School in Las Vegas.
Emhyr Subramanian. Probable career field: Chemical Engineering. Graduating from The Davidson Academy, Reno.
National Merit $2500 Scholarship winners are the Finalists in each state judged to have the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills, and potential for success in rigorous college studies. The number of winners named in each state is proportional to the state’s percentage of the nation’s graduating high school seniors.
