Kerala Flood Relief Fund Raiser – August 26th at the Mandir

Hindu Temple and Jain Center of Las Vegas makes an urgent appeal to our prosperous community for a special fundraising effort to alleviate the pain and suffering of millions who are devastated by the recent floods in Kerala.  Please show your generosity with your donation on Sunday, August 26th at the Hindu Mandir.  There will be a special prayer service from 11 am to 12:30 pm to support the flood victims in Kerala.  A donation box will be placed in the temple and all the proceeds will be sent to the Kerala Flood Relief Fund.

Additionally, Kerala Association of Las Vegas has announced the cancellation of ONAM celebrations.  In lieu of ONAM, the association is appealing to the community to donate to the Kerala flood victims fund.  Biju Thomas, President of Kerala Association of Las Vegas, requests the community members to donate generously to rebuild the lives of millions who are directly impacted by the devastating floods in Kerala.  “We should not ignore our fellow friends’ pain and suffering and continue to conduct Onam celebrations while they are fighting one of the worst calamities they have ever been faced with,” said John Cherian, Secretary of the Kerala Association of Las Vegas.
