Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners Files Complaint Against Dr. Priya Chib

Dr. Priya Chib was disciplined by the California Medical Board with a public reprimand and was required to complete 20 hours of an educational course aimed at correcting areas of deficient practice of knowledge, and was required to enroll in a medical record keeping course. The educational program/course was in addition to the CME requirements for renewal of licensure.
In November 2018, Dr. Chib entered into a stipulated settlement and disciplinary order with the California Medical Board. The public reprimand was issued in connection with the care and treatment of a patient – a newborn infant. Dr. Chib failed to pursue a conclusive diagnostic test on the newborn which was discussed with the patient’s parent on a previous medical visit.

Dr. Chib was licensed by the Nevada Board of Medical Examiner in November 2016. She is a graduate of Ross University School of Medicine, St. George, Dominica and completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics from Atlantic Health Systems, Morristown, New Jersey.
