One APIA Nevada Hosts Diwali Celebration Focused on Community and Civic Engagement
One APIA Nevada invites the community to celebrate Diwali’s spirit of light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance, while also creating space for conversation around civic awareness and engagement.
The evening will feature special guest speakers Nevada State Assemblyman Reuben D’Silva and Assemblywoman Hanadi Nadeem, who will share their perspectives on the importance of civic participation. The celebrations will be community-centered evening with food, socializing and meaningful dialogue.

Community members are encouraged to participate in this unique evening of culture, socialize, make new friend and connection, and a meaningful civic engagement. The program will include a presentation on political education designed to help the vibrant South Asian community stay informed and engaged. Community leaders and elected officials will also share insights on how representation, awareness, and civic engagement can strengthen our collective voice ahead of the dynamic political season.

The evening will feature a variety of delicious South Asian cuisines, and attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy henna art. This event is free and open to the community.
