Las Vegas prominent Physician and community activist Dr. R. D. Prabhu, M.D., is invited by the Vice-President of the United States, Kamala Harris, and husband & second gentleman, Doug Emhoff, to celebrate the Hindu festival of Diwali at their home in Washington D.C. on Wednesday, November 8^th, 2023. The Diwali event will be the second time in a row hosted by Vice President Kamala Harris.

Dr. Prabhu is the only Indian-American from Nevada invited by Hon. Harris to a reception to celebrate Diwali. The event is in collaboration with the Indian American Impact, an organization dedicated to building Indian American political power, investing in Indian American candidates, and enfranchising the growing Indian American electorate.

“I am honored to be joining Hon. Harris and her husband, Mr. Emhoff, along with the prominent members of the Indian diaspora to celebrate Diwali at their official residence,” said Dr. Prabhu.
