Las Vegan Shiva Gummi allegedly stabbed his Physician wife, Gwendoline Amsrala, to death. Dr. Amsrala, a UNLV’s School of Medicine graduate, recently started her medical residency.

As per the press release by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, LVMPD Dispatch received a report of a suicidal male. During the course of the investigation, LVMPD Homicide detectives identified 33-yearold Shiva Gummi as the suspect in this case. Detectives learned that Gummi stabbed his wife, Gwen Amsrala, and then himself before calling the police. Gummi was arrested and booked in absentia into the Clark County Detention Center for Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon. 

Shiva Gummi worked as a flight instructor with the North Las Vegas based West Air Flight Training.  Gummi specialized in teaching private, instrument and commercial students.  As of this writing West Air has removed Gummi from their website.
