Touro University student Nervik Roy honored with 2016 Student Rising Star Award

Clark County Medical Society is honoringNervikRoyfrom Touro University Nevada College of Medicine (TUNCOM) with its 2016 Student Rising Star Award. The award recognizes exceptional medical students studying in Nevada.
Roy will receive their awards during the 2016 President’s Installation & Awards Ceremony on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Westgate Resort.
Nervik Roy is a third-year medical student at TUNCOM studying to be a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. He attended the Honors College at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, earning a degree in biology. After graduation, he continued to work in the UNLV lab and conducted research on novel HIV therapies. In addition to serving patients in Clark County, Roy is enthusiastic about increasing community awareness of health issues and preventative care so patients can achieve a high level of wellness. Nervik attended Palo Verde High School in Las Vegas and completed Bachelor of Science in Biology from UNLV. During school years, Nervik worked at now closed Priya India restaurant and India Curry.
