Vegasdesi.com Recognizes Class of 2025 for Academic Excellence and Community Dedication

Vegasdesi.com recently celebrated the outstanding accomplishments of the Class of 2025 in a memorable evening to recognize the exemplary Indian-American young achievers for their unwavering commitment to academic excellence and their dedication to making a difference in the community.
Guest speaker Prof. Anjala Krishen, Professor of Marketing and Associate Dean of Executive Education, shared her personal journey in corporate world followed by academia, and delivered an inspiring message to students. She emphasized the importance of connecting with professors from the very first year to enrich their academic and intellectual pursuits. Prof. Krishen also encouraged students to begin building their personal brand early as a key to future success.
“Don’t drop the ball, if you’re committing to something, get it done. It’s about performance and not popularity. Commit to what you can finish and actually complete it,” conveyed Prof. Krishen to the attending students.
The following students attended the dinner held in honor of their academic achievements as they prepared for the next phase of their educational journey:
- Asha Talim, a proud graduate of WestTech, will be joining Dartmouth College.
- Fateh Singh, who recently graduated from Del Sol High, is set to begin is studies at the College of Southern Nevada.
- Jia Mahesh representing Coral High, is heading to University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
- Kiran Talim, a graduate of WestTech, will be attending Vanderbilt University.
- Nina Pomerantz, who completed his studies at Bishop Gorman, is on her way to University of Southern California (USC).
- Rohan Keshavan, graduated from Veterans Tribute CTA, is joining UNLV.
- Sehaj Singh, new alumni of Clark High alumni, is bound for University of Notre Dame.
Though they met for the first time that evening, the students quickly found common ground. They engaged in thoughtful conversation exchanged notes, and enjoyed the evening recognition dinner.

The evening was made possible through the generous support of community donors. Rakesh and Niyati Patel of Kumon sponsored each student with a $250 Amazon gift card, a meaningful gesture to reward their hard work and motivate their continued success. Vipul Patel of Curry Leaf graciously hosted the students and their families, offering an informal evening of drinks and a delicious three-course dinner. Additional support came from community leaders Mahendra Mehta and Abbas Badani, whose contributions helped make the event a resounding success.
