While filling out an application for the medical license renewal, Dr. Patel disclosed that he was arrested in April 2020 for domestic battery.  As per the Nevada Statute, Dr. Patel was required to report to the Medical Board of an arrest by the law enforcement authorities within 30 days of the arrest.  As a result of the failure to report the domestic battery arrest in a timely manner, the Board’s staff researched Dr. Patel’s history with failures to report similar incidents about which reporting is mandatory.
