Mother’s Day Celebrations

After an initial successful organizational meeting led by Ms. Daulat and Chatterjee, the Indian Women’s Association of Las Vegas invites all the mothers to come together to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 15th, 2022 at Mariposa Cocina & Cocktails. Although Mother’s Day falls on Sunday, May 8th, the group decided to postpone the celebrations by bringing all the women together on May 15th as most of the mothers will be celebrating the day with their families and near & dear ones on actual Mother’s Day.


Four Indian-American Students Named National Merit $2500 Scholarship Winners

National Merit Scholarship Corporation is pleased to announce four local Indian-American students as the winner of a $2500 scholarship.  The four Indian-American students, Sohini Mandal, Sanjay Soni, Mathew J. Stephen, and Meghana S. Sunkara, were chosen from a talent pool of more than 15,000 outstanding Finalists in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program. Smoke 4 U Sued by Former Employees For Labor Wage Violations

Indian-American owned Smoke 4 U with multiple locations is being sued under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) in the Nevada Federal Court by two of the former employees.
