Ajay Dayal Faces Administrative Hearing Over Alleged Unlicensed Property Management and Financial Misconduct

The Nevada Real Estate Division has scheduled an administrative hearing before the Nevada Real Estate Commission to address multiple allegations against former real estate licensee Ajay Dayal, stemming from a complaint filed by a Nevada State Assemblyman who claims he was swindled and financially exploited.
The complaint alleges that despite surrendering his real estate licenses and permits in February 2023 as part of a global settlement in unrelated cases, Dayal continued to engage in property management activities without legal authorization.

In July 2023, a one-year leasing agreement was signed between the complainant and the tenants, included agent Dayal’s address, phone number, and email address. At the same time, Dayal collected rent and deducted expenses, included a 7% property management fee. The property owner reported to the Real Estate Division that Dayal engaged in various property management activities and collecting rents and security deposit(s), which he had withheld since October 2023.
In December 2024, the Real Estate Division opened an investigation against Dayal. The letter was mailed to Dayal informing him of the active investigation. Dayal did not respond to the investigative letter. As a result of his non-response, the Division closed the investigation in March 2025 and referred the matter to the Commission for disciplinary action.
Nevada’s Real Estate Division alleges Dayal violated Nevada laws when he engaged in the business of property management without a valid real estate license and no property management permit. Other allegations include failure to remit the security deposit to the property owner (complainant), representing himself as a property manager despite knowing he did not have an active real estate license nor any property management permit, and more.
The Division has filed a formal complaint and is requesting that the Nevada Real Estate Commission take disciplinary action as it sees fit. A hearing has been scheduled to address the allegations and determine any penalties or sanctions that may be warranted.
