Arjun Muraleedharan Indicted in Fatal DUI Crash in Las Vegas
Arjun Muraleedharan has been formally indicted on two felony charges in connection with a fatal crash that occurred in July near the intersection of Interstate 215 and Buffalo Drive. The incident, which involved allegations of impaired driving, resulted in the death of one individual and serious injuries to another.
According to court records, Muraleedharan faces one count of driving under the influence resulting in substantial bodily harm and one count of reckless driving resulting in death or substantial bodily harm. Both charges are classified as felonies under Nevada law and carry significant prison time and financial penalties upon conviction.
Prosecutors allege that Muraleedharan was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. His blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was reportedly above the legal limit of 0.08, according to toxicology reports filed with the court.
Muraleedharan appeared in court for his arraignment earlier this week and entered a plea of not guilty to all charges. Despite the severity of the allegations, he is not currently in custody. He was released after posting $200,000 bail.
