Dr. Sachit Priya Das, M.D., Reaches Settlement with Nevada Medical Board
Dr. Sachit Priya Das, M.D., who was originally investigated on two counts by the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners, has reached a settlement agreement resolving one count related to failure to maintain complete medical records. As part of the agreement, Dr. Das admitted to one violation of the Nevada Medical Practice Act.
Under the terms of the settlement, Dr. Das has agreed to the following conditions:
Dr. Das will pay $7,721 for the costs and expenses incurred in the investigation and prosecution of the case, as well as a fine of $4,000, within 60 days of acceptance, adoption, and approval by the Medical Board.
Dr. Das will perform six hours of continuing medical education relating to the urinary system diagnoses and treatment.
In addition to the above conditions, Dr. Das will receive a public letter of reprimand.
The settlement agreement will be reported to all the appropriate entities as required under the Nevada Medical Practices Act, including, but not limited to the National Practitioner Data Bank. The Board has agreed to dismiss the complaint on count 1 with prejudice.
Dr. Sachit Priya Das, M.D., graduated from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, India. He completed his internship and residency at the Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
