Cohen & Padda recently expanded its growing personal injury practice with the addition of longtime Glen Lerner (“Heavy Hitter”) employee Tarquin Black.
Joining forces with Ruth Cohen and Darshpaul (“Paul”) Singh Padda, both former federal prosecutors, Tarquin is prepared to help build the rapidly growing personal injury practice of the law firm.
Tarquin is originally from London, England but has significant connection to South Asia. His mother was born in Lahore in pre-partition India, and her family has a long time India connection. Indeed, Tarquin’s parents met and were married in Calcutta. As a child, Tarquin lived in Calcutta and Bombay. Sent back to England for his education, Tarquin attended the prestigious Harrow School and the University of London. He received his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of London.
Tarquin has worked in London, the Middle East, Hong Kong and Greece for a number of multinational financial institutions. He was a bond broker in the City of London before moving to New York in the early 1980s where he brokered U.S. Treasury Bills for a leading wholesale brokerage firm. Tarquin moved to Palm Beach, Florida in 1992 and split his time between there and London before moving to Las Vegas in 1999.
Tarquin lives in Las Vegas with his 24-year old American daughter. He is a passionate Chelsea (cricket and rugby), New York Yankees and Giants fan.
Commenting upon the addition of Tarquin to the firm, Cohen & Padda managing partner Paul S. Padda stated: “Tarquin is very bright and brings tremendous experience to the firm. He will be an outstanding addition and will help our personal injury clients by applying his skills and knowledge to help the firm achieve the best possible results on behalf of injured persons.”
