Dr. Nafees Nagy’s Nevada Cancer Centers Acquired by HealthCare Partners
Acquisition of Nevada Cancer Centers expands HealthCare Partners’ integrated network, provides new oncology services to patients.
HealthCare Partners Nevada, a leading physician-run network of primary, specialty and urgent care providers in Southern Nevada, announced the company has acquired Nevada Cancer Centers, a well-established outpatient oncology and hematology practice with four locations in Southern Nevada.
As a result of this acquisition, the practice has become HealthCare Partners Medical Group Oncology/Hematology, a new division of HealthCare Partners offering a wide array of oncology and hematology services for patients across the Las Vegas Valley. Although the acquisition will result in a new name and brand, the practice’s 60 employees in Southern Nevada will continue to provide patients with advanced cancer treatments and a full range of screening techniques and tests. The new division will also offer full-service laboratories providing immediate results, in addition to state-of-the-art chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiation therapy services.
Since becoming Southern Nevada’s first outpatient hematology and oncology practice 39 years ago, Nevada Cancer Centers has grown to become one of the area’s largest and most recognizable cancer treatment facilities. M. Nafees Nagy, M.D., the founder of Nevada Cancer Centers, is retiring from the practice as HealthCare Partners establishes its new oncology and hematology division.
“The addition of oncology services will strengthen HealthCare Partners’ position as a leader in comprehensive, coordinated and patient-focused care,” said Sherif Abdou, M.D., president and CEO of HealthCare Partners Nevada. “HealthCare Partners now has the unique advantage of offering services for patients at virtually every level of the continuum of care.”
