Friends of India Youth Group – Bowling Event Makes Successful Debut
This past weekend, a youth group founded and led by Indian youths in Las Vegas had their kickoff event at the Suncoast Bowling Lanes. The Friends of India Las Vegas Youth Group was founded by a junior in high school, Opal Latpate, and she leads a board of 5 other accomplished Indian youth in our community to foster strong relationships within our Indian Youth.
The FOILV Youth Group’s main objective is to bring our Indian youth together by hosting fun events, giving back to our community by doing community service, and cultural events. As of now, they have over 40 members, and their kickoff event had an attendance of over 35 kids. It is a unique opportunity to get our youth involved with one another, and bring a unified sense of Indian identity stemming from a young age.
If you are interested in your child or another child within your community joining the FOILV Youth Group, or are simply interested in what they do, follow their instagram @foilvyouth or email them at foilvyouth@gmail.com for any enquiries.
