HOLI “Nahi” Hai – Friends of India Postpones Holi Picnic

With Coronavirus, COVID-19, spreading like a wildfire in a dry forest, the executive committee of Friends of India has voted to postpone the Holi Picnic scheduled on Saturday, March 21st. No decision has been made on when, where and whether if the Holi will be celebrated this year.
In an official communique, Mahendra Mehta, President of the Friends of India has informed the membership and this publication of the postponement. Below is the detail message from the Executive Committee, Friends of India.
The friends of India annual Holi festival is postponed until further notice due to the spread of Coronavirus outbreak.
Out of abundance of caution and health and safety of our community members, and per the recommendations of CDC on non essential large gatherings , the Friends of India executive committee has decided to postpone the Holi 2020 event scheduled for March 22. 2020. The health, safety and security if all our patrons is always a matter of paramount importance to us.
It is in the best interest of the community and the individual members to minimize contacts and avoid large gatherings and help stop the spread of this virus.
For all those who have already purchased their tickets your transaction amount will be refunded to you. Thanks for your understanding and your support.
