Jainine Jaffer, Executive Chef of Shiraz Restaurant Honored with the Best Female Chef

On Sunday, February 23, 2020, Las Vegas rolled out the red carpet for the highly anticipated 27th Silver State Awards – Women Awards.  The evening event honored Jainine Jaffer, Executive Chef of Shiraz Restaurant with the 2020 Best Female Chef award. 

Janine is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Las Vegas, where she mastered the art of French cuisine and technique along with the ability to refine and expand her current versatile culinary skill set. This ranges from savory to sweet, baking and pastry, mezze/tapas, vegan and vegetarian to fusion, and she is always hungry to try something new. Through her extensive travels, she became well-seasoned in many world cultures and foods, including Middle Eastern, Moroccan, Greek, Italian, Latin, Thai, Argentinian, Indo-Mex and more. 

Jainine Jaffer, an Executive Chef & Catering Specialist of Shiraz Restaurant, has had an insatiable love and passion for food, flavors, and creativity from a very young age. She has always loved being in the kitchen and continuously dreamed of new recipes she would later bring to life.

Recognizing Excellence & Exemplary Achievement by individuals & companies in 24 Categories in Las Vegas. “The Silver State Awards” are the only awards of their kind that are supported by top Political Leaders in Nevada “A True People Choice Awards”. The awards are a collaborative platform dedicated to recognizing outstanding leadership, inspiration vision and innovations by individuals and organizations that have Shaped the women roles within private and private sectors in Las Vegas. The awards nominees and honorees reflect the wide spectrum of accomplishments these outstanding individuals have achieved. 

Chef Jainine extends her culinary passion to the community, serving as a Board Member for the Nevada Restaurant Association where she focuses on the ProStart program and on the Board for Flavors for Life organization to combat juvenile diabetes. She is also closely involved with the Women in Hospitality Initiative, aimed at bringing equality to women throughout all sectors of the hospitality and culinary communities.
